TP Aerospace ensures transparency and compliance with timengo
Consulting services from timengo provide TP Aerospace with financial oversight and accurate knowledge of correct and optimal licensing of key cloud solutions across the company’s global infrastructure.
TP Aerospace is a key player in the technically demanding and highly competitive aftermarket for aviation wheels and brakes.
With activities spread globally, the company faced significant challenges in ensuring proper licensing of IT solutions and minimizing costly “over-licensing.”
“We have a global IT infrastructure and use a wide range of products, especially from Microsoft. In this regard, we rely on Azure resources in various contexts, work with Microsoft 365, the Power platform, and several other services,” says Nima Hosseini, Head of IT at TP Aerospace.
“Our team is relatively small and primarily focused on development and operations. As a result, we lack the specialized competencies required to handle the more complex aspects of software licensing. Especially within Microsoft’s product and service portfolio in the cloud,” he explains.

From opacity to transparency
To address these challenges, TP Aerospace partnered with timengo to structure license management, establish overview and enable cost optimization. timengo had previously assisted TP Aerospace with migrating its existing IT infrastructure to Microsoft Azure, and the licensing effort further strengthened the collaboration between the two companies.
“Previously, our handling of cloud and software licenses was insufficiently structured, making it difficult to determine whether our investments were cost-effective – or if we had the correct licenses,” says Nima Hosseini.
timengo began by mapping the relationships between products, cloud usage, and users, providing a foundation for the clarity that provided TP Aerospace with a clear picture of which licenses they pay for and why.
“timengo laid out all the facts and helped us find the best solutions to our licensing needs. Today, we can more easily organize and optimize our licenses. Furthermore, we have achieved significant savings in the process,” Nima Hosseini adds.
Streamlined security and efficiency
This newfound clarity also enabled a decision to consolidate a significant portion of TP Aerospace’s security solutions. Previously, the company utilized a mix of different security platforms, resulting in overlapping functions and unnecessary expenses. Based on timengo’s recommendations, the decision was made to centralize security on Microsoft Defender under the E3 and E5 licenses that the company was already paying for.
“By centralizing our security within the Microsoft portfolio, we eliminated redundancy and significantly reduced costs. timengo helped us implement this quickly and effectively, which has also strengthened our overall security level,” explains Nima Hosseini.
Additionally, automating license management has made onboarding new employees significantly easier, as licenses can now be automatically assigned when new users join – or deactivated when they leave. This saves time, enhances security, and minimizes the risk of under-licensing as well as continued payments for unused licenses.
“Det giver ro i maven, fordi jeg ved, at vi både har 100% styr på licenserne – og kan dokumentere det.”
Nima Hosseini, Head of IT hos TP Aerospace.
Focus on compliance and strategic development
For TP Aerospace, which has approximately 400 employees globally, compliance is a critical factor. The company operates in countries with varying legal requirements, making proper licensing an even more demanding task.
“This is where our collaboration with timengo makes a big and positive difference. They know our business and understand how we can best meet compliance requirements. It gives me peace of mind to know that we have complete control over our licenses – and can document it – in case of audits from, for example, Microsoft,” says Nima Hosseini.
The partnership has also freed up internal resources, allowing TP Aerospace to focus on strategic development. “We can now concentrate on our core tasks while timengo handles the complex licensing issues. This makes a big difference for us,” concludes Nima Hosseini.
